I can't begin to describe how awful this restaurant was. My friends and I were in China town looking for a cheap Chinese restaurant. We passed Tony Chengs and opted for something a little cheaper. Szechaun Gallery had a sign outside advertising $3.95 lunch specials and a box of menus with entrees at affordable prices. We opted for the cheaper Szeuchaun Gallery. Inside, the dirty, shabby restaurant has a different menu with much more expensive entrees. My friend ordered a coke right before looking at the menu otherwise we would have just left. We ordered soup, entrees, and some dim sum, which the brought out in no discernible order starting with two of our 3 entrees, then some dim sum, then the third entree, then our soups, then more dim sum. The bill was very expensive and they charged us for rice and tea. Despite their sign on the door stating they accepted Visa, Mastercard, or Amex, they made us pay cash (for which they gave us a 10% discount) so I had to wander around trying to ...? More ?

I'm a customer of Szechuan Gallery for over 10 years. They serve the best tasting authentic Chinese food dishes in the DC area.
