Went here after Koi palace took too long. Great place, fed 12 adults for under 250. Hefty portions, interesting serving styles, decorative interior, and yeah.Definitely recommend. Remember to lol at the place mats (which make sense after 20 noobs spill sauce) and get the green jello.

I'm not gonna be influenced by these low ratings, I placed an order for delivery for the first time in this restaurant since it was just a block away where I live I was like whatever the ratings are low I don't care I'm hungry., a woman answered the phone with thick chinese accent hard to understand but I've managed. Food arrived in 30 minutes I ordered shrimp fried rice, pork with long beans and bochoy with oyster sauce. It was heaven! Loved it I was very surprised...I will definitely place another order for delivery ... Yum yum

This review is for the dim sum only.My dad raved that this place was excellent value and one of his favorites. Every time I hear something like that I tend to judge it even harder. We ordered 2 lobster noodles just like everyone else in the place. I didn't pay for the meal but I believe it's 11 or 12 dollars each. That's cheap!! How did it fare? I only tasted the noodle portion and I thought it was pretty delicious. One of the two lobsters was supposedly overcooked though. You can't really complain though since you are getting lobster AND noodles for such a cheap price! I mean you can't even buy a lobster for 12 bucks half the time. The dim sum I would say was pretty standard. I wouldn't mind coming here again. It's just a bit far for me and isn't worth the drive. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible at the same time. The service here was just "ok" for a Chinese restaurant. If you know anything about Chinese restaurants, you shouldn't expect superb service. This was no exception. They will take your tea pot away for a refill but they might not return it haha. Just make sure you are on top of it and badger them a bit.Overall this place is okay in my book. The parking is horrible and the food is decent. If I'm in the area I wouldn't mind coming here. It's just not worth a special trip.

Wow... Fung Wong translates to King Pheonix and my family is in love with this place. The seafood here definitely tops the charts. We ordered a crab meat with fish maw soup, a fried rice, a deep fried halibut, a poached vegetable, two lobsters, two squabs, and giant clams. Delicious and fairly priced. I come here as often as I can.

Solid dim sum place. The good - ha gow, siu mai, lotus wrapped rice with chicken, and salt & pepper fried calamari. The not so good - crab and shrimp dumpling was nothing special. It was dry and too bulky. Come early as it gets crowded on the weekends for brunch. Service was quick, efficient and sometimes friendly. Reasonably priced for some decent dim sum. Beats waiting at some of the other ones in the area.

I didn't even know there was a Chinese restaurant in that little plaza until today when my friends decided to come here for dim sum.Compared to other dim sum places I've been to, this place was pretty average. The food didn't make my tastebuds sing, but it wasn't bad either. I do have to point out that the rice of our Yang Chow fried rice was harder than others I've had before. Everything else was decent. In terms of service, I'd say we were a bit unlucky this time around. My friend says the service is usually better than it was today. Today, they were training a new guy, so some of the smaller mistakes (forgetting to mark off the delivered dishes, delivering wrong dishes) are definitely forgivable, especially since they were corrected. However, even the more experienced waiters and waitresses seemed a little aloof, too. Some of our dishes weren't entered, and when we reminded them, it took quite a while to come. And listening to a woman from another table, it seems she experienced the same thing: two forgotten dishes and she had to wait a long while. If I come again, I'll need to remember to bring my patience and a group of people I like so we can have a good conversation to pass the long wait times.I'll give it 3.5 stars this time around. I'm actually hoping to come here again and if service is better, I may up it to 4 stars.

For Dim Sum, i dont suggest to use Yelp because real chinese people dont usually write yelp reviews and those are the ones you trust for dim sum. We dont knock that much points off of cleaniness or ambiance or service. this place isnt perfect, but it is packed on the weekends for a reason....and that is cheap and decent dim sum.

I'm really surpriced at all of the bad reviews and low ratings. I love this place. It's a great place to eat. The food here is always very fresh and arrives at the table piping hot. There very few things on the menu that I find to be hit or miss and that's because they have ingredients that very delicate and time sensetive. I've been coming here with my family for years now and we always walk away happy and satIsified with the meal. The service is nice and they are as prompt as the can be to make sure everybody is taken care of and satisfied. This will always be a favorite spot for me to have dim sum.

I'm surprised with all the bad reviews. I had a pleasant first experience here today. We ordered the lobster noodles thanks to the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Well, maybe a tad. Had there been more sauce I would have given them five stars. The quality of service was impeccable. One of the lady servers constantly gave us replacement plates whenever it became too full from lobster shells. This RARELY happens when eating at Asian restaurants, so I was mighty impressed.Fung Wong seems to be more personable compared to other Asian restaurants; the male server, who seems like the assistant manager, chatted with customers at each table. He knew the regulars and introduced himself to those who were new (like us newbies). Again, this RARELY happens at Asian restaurants.Needless to say, they have earned themselves a new patron. Look forward to eating here again!

I've been coming here for a long long time. Fung Wong is awesome because 1. their food is yummy and 2. they offer free delivery for orders $15+. Dim sum is cheap and they have a bunch of stuff to order from. Service is mehh okay and it could be a little cleaner, but they bring out your order quickly.I heard from the g-folks that the restaurant just got new cook and the cook is excelent. Went on Sunday and this place was crackin! All the tables were full, people had to wait to get a table, servers were hustling and bustling. Long life noodles with lobster is my FAVE but it is pricey, so only for special occasions. Looooooove all the dim sum (except the duck tongue is weird here!) and I especially love that you can order via phone (including dim sum @ 4pm) for delivery. It's closer than driving to Millbrae for HK Flower Lounge which has been going down for the past few years AND charges $1/person for tea! An extra $14 for my fam!

Terrible service, on top of being very slow they're also very rude. For example, As I was eating at their restaurant, I overheard a man from the table next to me ask if they had coffee, the waiter replied with "What do you think this is Starbucks? we don't have coffee!" then proceeded to laugh. On top of that they asked me for a tip as they gave me the bill, the food is just whatever as well. Skip this place at all cost

Wow I'm shocked to see the overall low rating of this restaurant. My family and I have been to this restaurant over a handful of times. We've always thought the food was really good for good prices, unlike Koi Palace which is up the street. It's traditional cantonese style chinese food. Nothing fancy, just standard good food. But then again we haven't eaten here in a year or 6 months, so maybe quality has gone down? However the place itself does have some downfalls, not the cleanest, I've never seen anything dirty, it just has an overall dirty feel, maybe it's the dust on the things hanging on the walls, or the dirty fish tank (NOT for food fish tank, just a decorative tank). Also service is lacking here, but then again it's a Chinese restaurant, service is never their important feature. They can get a little busy with funeral people having banquets here but if you can flag them down they will help you. They just need to have more people looking around to refill tea and take away plates. But they try their hardest. As for the food, I've always thought it was pretty good and tasty. I've even had their takeout, and some of their foods don't travel well with takeout. I like their lobster noodle when it's a special pricing, their dim sum is all pretty good, and their overall dinner dishes are yummy. I can't think of a specific item since we usually get the same stuff everywhere.

Come on. Just drive a few minutes over to Millbrae or another restaurant to get some better food. The place may have just painted their walls too because the whole place smells like paint or some sort of chemical. The food is MEH. It is oily and just okay. They definitely do not pick out the old pieces in veggies and they definitely serve dead fish. If you are Chinese, this is NOT acceptable.Nothing stood out to me. Not the meat, veggies, fish, not even the lobster. The service is good, they are nice. Sorry, that doesn't make up for it.Fung Wong...you are Fung Wrong.
