THEY ARE NOT CLOSED!!!!They changed their name a little... Don't confuse people please. This place is good!!! I love their Beef Chow Fun - it's like you are having a beef galore... Ideal meal for the meat lover in you... Their seafood fried rice is great also... You won't regret eating there and mind most importantly, the price is right... ;)

Oh you used to be my favorite- why did you have to go and change your lo mien? The shrimp was so dry and the flavor was just bad. Now I know you are no longer operating as New Jeanny and it's now called Jin Asian Cafe- but one word of suggestion- go back to the other shrimp lo mein!!!!!I don't think I will be ordering from here again :(

Recently moved to Chicago and, after six months of searching, we finally found our place for chinese. The food is quality from top down and the staff is friendly. We've eaten there five times and all of our entrees have been excellent. The chicken is tender and the beef is relatively lean. The crab rangoon is among the best we've ever had. The fried rice and egg rolls are excellent. I've gotten the egg drop soup four times and three times it was fabulous and once it was good, but slightly watered down. The only negative is once they got our order wrong and gave us kung pao chicken when we ordered beef. But we still love the place and it's now our goto chinese shop.

-5 stars. Found a piece of metal in our vegetable fried rice (see photo). We will never order from New Jeanny again. Can't imagine what would have happened to me or my family if we would have swallowed it. Luckily I didn't bite down hard enough for it to do damage (that I'm aware of yet). Nor can I imagine how it got in there. What else is in it?...

Chinese food in Chicago is tricky. There are so many different styles and versions of it. I've eaten here twice now and both times have been perfectly satisfied but not blown away by it. I like the hot and sour soup. They do it well. The general's chicken isn't special though. This is Chinese food normal and fine. Nothing special. I can't say don't eat, because I do (it's convenient) but don't except mind blowing extraordinary food.

After several return visits I have to say things have gotten better at Jeanny's it is still a roll of the dice on what egg rolls you will get real good or eh but the entrees have been consistent and pretty tasty. Kung Boa lo Mein with beef a spicy noodle dish with veggies and peanuts in a light brown sauce was a excellent and the pork egg foo young has been pretty tasty with a good rich sauce nice texture to the patty and the pork fried rice last time was actually awesome.I would give them a 3 1/2 if that was doable.

Very solid place for delivery. Back when we were in their delivery radius, we ordered from here a lot. Their menu is more extensive than the average place too.Our favorite item was the "spicy salt shrimp" (what I think other places would call salt & pepper shrimp).

I can't believe I haven't reviewed New Jeanny's. I've gone here every so often for about 2 years. The service is always fast- for example, I once walked in, ordered, and the food was ready in 4 minutes. Some might say that is too fast but I didn't mind. If you're dining in, there are usually tables available and no wait. The food is pretty standard Chinese- I have not been overly wowed by the food but it is good, and they have a wide selection and huge portions.

Delivery: Fastest in the city. Not joking, I called in an order at 5:56pm, my doorbell rang at 6:06pm, 10mins!!! Items to get: -My favorite: Chicken w/ walnut: chicken slightly breaded in a white cream sauce that is slightly sweet and tangy, on top of broccoli, and topped with candied walnuts. Absolute must try. -Hot and Sour Soup is the best in the city (it comes with big chunks of pork, shrimp, noodles, and veggies). They can really dial up the heat if you want. -Salt Shrimp- Very good, crunchy, amount of food is on the small side, no sauce on it -Pepper Beef-wonderful, the pieces are large enough, and the quality of meat is the best I've had at non-steak house.?
